Adding ECristal Property Information

Adding ECristal Property Information

Below and attached to this article is a guide on how to add property information to your property in ECristal for it to be marketed on the Check Safety First website.

After following the steps in this guide you should be able to view your property on the Check Safety First website (as long as it is qualified in at least one module). If not then please contact IT Support and we will assist with this.

Adding property information for the Check Safety First website

When your property is qualified in one or more modules, it becomes eligible to be displayed on the Check Safety First (CSF) website (www.checksafetyfirst.com).

Firstly, login to ECristal using your registered email address and password, https://ecristal.cristalstandards.com/en/Home/Login

Find the property you wish to update the property information for

As shown below, this property (Resort Hotel 1) is qualified in the FoodCheck module, and therefore it has the opportunity to be shown on the CSF website. This guide will show you what information you can enter and how to edit this in the future.

To add marketing information to a property, find the property that you want and click the pink ‘Edit Property’ button in the top right-hand corner of the page.

This will then open the window shown below.

From here you will need to click the bottom bar labelled ‘Marketing’ which will then display the fields you can fill in for it to be shown with your property on the CSF website.

If all the fields are not displayed as shown below then tick the box for ‘Show on Check Safety First Website’ and it will then appear.

Starting at the top, there is a field for amenities. Clicking into this field will present you with a drop-down menu which you can select multiple amenities from. Simply click each amenity that applies to your property, and it will add them to your list. To remove an amenity you can either, click the amenity again to unselect it, or click the cross on the left-hand side of the amenity in the bar above the drop-down menu.

Next you have the star rating of the property. Simply enter the number of stars that your property has or use the up and down arrows on the right-hand side of the field.

There is then the description of the property. Click into this field and then type a description for your property including any information that you want to be displayed on the CSF website.

After that you will need to add photos of your property. Clicking the camera icon on the right-hand side of the image field will open your devices folder system (Pictures folder on Windows).

Select the photo/s you want from the open window and then click ‘Open’.

Your selected photo/s will then be displayed as shown below. To add more simply click the camera icon again and select any other photos you want to add.

The order that the photos are shown in this field is the order that they will be displayed on the CSF website. The photo furthest left being the first shown and also will be used as your properties thumbnail photo on the homepage and search results of the CSF website as shown below.

To rearrange the order of the photos, click and hold on the six dots above the photo and drag it into the position that you want it to be in.

If you want to remove a photo, then click the cross above the photo that you want removed and it will be deleted.

To add a telephone number for your property, click the settings cog icon on the right-hand side of the Telephone Numbers field.

This will then open up the window shown below and allow you to enter a telephone number and select which type of telephone it is from the drop-down menu.

If you would like to add more that one telephone number then you can click the plus icon below the ‘Type’ field and to remove a telephone number, you click the minus icon on the right-hand side of the telephone number which you would like to remove.

You cannot remove the top telephone number as one must remain. Instead of removing the top telephone number, you will have to click into the field and edit the telephone number.

After telephone numbers you have a field for your property website. This will put a link on your CSF property page that when clicked, will take the user to your property website. In this field, please enter the exact link to your website, including the http:// or https:// at the beginning as shown in the below image.

After Website URL, you have a field for Booking Agent URL. This is for you to add your preferred booking agent listing to your property, By adding the URL, Book now buttons will appear on your entry on the CSF.com property page which will link direct to the booking agent. This will allow the public to book your property direct from CSF.com. In this field, please enter the exact link to your website, including the http:// or https:// at the beginning, as shown in the below image.

The final field of the property marketing section is the location of the property. Here you can enter the address of the property and set that as the location. This will then be displayed at the top of your property page on CSF as well as being shown on a map at the bottom of the page.

Below is an example of how this is displayed on the CSF website.

Once all those details are filled in, you can click submit at the bottom left of the form and it will save those details ready to be displayed on the Check Safety First website, which will look something like the example below.

To edit any of the details that are being displayed, simply go back into your property on the ECristal website and click the ‘Edit Property’ button. Navigate to the ‘Marketing’ field and then make the required changes.

As your property qualifies in more modules, they will be added onto your CSF property page automatically.
